\u201cCuaderno azul de dibujos.\u00a0<\/strong>Mi primera acci\u00f3n consisti\u00f3 en dibujar el entorno de la Casa, el barrio, en un peque\u00f1o cuaderno azul que compr\u00e9 ni bien llegu\u00e9 all\u00ed. Dibuj\u00e9 las calles, las casas, los vecinos, la vegetaci\u00f3n, los animales, todo lo que encontraba en torno a la Casa. Este trabajo que realizaba a cualquier hora del d\u00eda llam\u00f3 la atenci\u00f3n de vecinos, pasantes y \u2013sobre todo- de los chicos del barrio que, curiosos, se convirtieron en modelos para mis retratos y compa\u00f1eros de dibujo que se sentaban a mi lado a dibujar.\u00a0 \u201c\u00bfPero por qu\u00e9 hac\u00e9s eso?\u201d; \u201c\u00bfDe d\u00f3nde ven\u00eds?\u201d; \u201c\u00bfPor qu\u00e9 elegiste eso para dibujar?\u201d; \u201c\u00bfViv\u00eds ac\u00e1?\u201d \u2013estas preguntas abr\u00edan conversaciones sobre los m\u00e1s diversos temas, pero con el mutuo inter\u00e9s de conocer \u201cal otro\u201d. Por otro lado, el dibujo minucioso de las cosas comunes del barrio, invitaba a los propios moradores a mirar nuevamente lo ya conocido y muchas veces negado o desvalorizado, re-significando el paisaje local. Una copia de este cuaderno permanece en la biblioteca de la Casa.<\/p>

Santo Amaro \u2013 San Fernando. Visiones comunes, visiones sublimes.\u00a0<\/strong>La segunda parte de mi trabajo se vali\u00f3 de la amistad hecha con los chicos del barrio. Traje de San Pablo decenas de retratos que hice de personas que conoc\u00ed en las calles del barrio San Amaro, grabados en xilograf\u00eda e impresos en coloridas hojas de papel barrilete. Traje tambi\u00e9n varillas de bamb\u00fa, tanza y cola. La propuesta era simple: yo ense\u00f1ar\u00eda a los chicos a contruir un barrilete como los que hacemos en Brasil y ellos me ense\u00f1ar\u00edan c\u00f3mo hacer uno argentino. As\u00ed fue que constru\u00edmos nuestros barriletes y, en un terreno convertido en cancha de f\u00fatbol, al lado de las v\u00edas del tren, los remontamos y soltamos, dispers\u00e1ndose en el cielo. Como contrapunto, al otro d\u00eda, pegu\u00e9 16 retratos en la fachada del taller Zona Imaginaria.\u201d<\/p>
