Materiales Alternativos<\/strong><\/p>

El seminario se desarrollo en cuatro encuentros. Participaron artistas locales, invitados y la comunidad del barrio. Con materiales recogidos y descartados, se generaron pigmentos, y herramientas. Se clasificaron los pigmentos obtenidos, para luego producir una pieza final. Tambi\u00e9n se fabricaron papeles artesanales.<\/p>

El objetivo del seminario era que los estudiantes aprendan a suplir materiales tradicionales por materiales no convencionales. Explorar las oportunidades que hay en reciclar desechos o cosas inmediatamente disponibles en el hogar o la naturaleza, como alternativa a costosos materiales industrialmente producidos.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

ACTIVIDAD CONJUNTA \/ Taller de serigraf\u00eda de Zona junto al residente
<\/strong><\/p>

Iv\u00e1n aprendi\u00f3 la t\u00e9cnica de estampado serigr\u00e1fico junto al Taller de ZI serigraf\u00eda de Zona, donde realiz\u00f3 el logo del Center for Art Education and Sustainability, Centro que el dirige.<\/p>

PEPEL RECICLADO<\/strong>
Con la ayuda del barrio, la recolecci\u00f3n de materiales descartados supero en cantidades las esperadas. Iv\u00e1n desarrollo una serie de pepeles artesanales, Ense\u00f1o como elaborarlos en su seminario y dejo en Zona un muestrario de sus resultados.<\/p>

PUERTAS ABIERTAS<\/strong>
Iv\u00e1n tuvo la oportunidad de hacer una presentaci\u00f3n formal de su trabajo, al equipo de Zona, artistas

About the project \u00b7 <\/strong>Alternative Materials<\/strong><\/p>

Material impurity imposes itself. In everyday life we are vir- tually surrounded by impure colors. It is therefore all that much more surprising that we have formulated a concept of pure colors. This strange fact, that we can supposedly count on pure notions of color, is primarily due to a meta- physical image to be destroyed and to a controvertible ideal extrapolated for real, habitual use of the concept of color. \u2014 Ludwig Wittgenstein, Remarks on Colour [Observa- ciones sobre los colores], 1994. Barcelona: Paido\u0301s Ibe\u0301rica.<\/span><\/p>

In the framework of these reflections, Asin explores the use of alternative materials to construct colors and make paintings. His re-readings of Cennini, Pliny and Vasari reaf- firm a search that explores opportunities to recycle refuse or things close to home or to Nature as an alternative to industrial color in art. His technique consists of extracting pigments from coffee, fruit or any other commonplace ele- ment to convert them into pictorial material.<\/span><\/p>

During his stay he offered courses and taught classes to people from the neighborhood, Los Pequen\u0303os Aprendices and to anyone interested in searching for ways to appropri- ate colors from the neighborhood. The result of the opera- tion was the creation of a set of Villa Jardi\u0301n Pantone Colors. During his stay, Iva\u0301n Daniel Asin turned Zona Imaginaria into a branch of the Center for Art Education and Sustain- ability (CAES), of which he is the Director.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Ivan Daniel Asin naci\u00f3 en Chile en 1978; vive y trabaja en Nueva York, Estados Unidos. Estudi\u00f3 artes visuales y fotograf\u00eda en Montclair State University (titulado 2006) y realiz\u00f3 estudios de postgrado en educaci\u00f3n del arte y dise\u00f1o en Pratt Institute, 2012. Trabaja como profesor de artes visuales en Nueva York y ha realizado talleres en Chile y Holanda.
